Smile Across Your Heart Club
regional groups voluntarily helping to spread joyand love

Smile Across Your Heart Club chapters are regional groups committed to meeting monthly with the intention of voluntarily helping to spread more joy and love in their communities in a fun, giving way.

Club chapters actively go out into the community and perform FUN, joyful exercises passing on the joy and love to others. Each Smile Across Your Heart Club chapter around the world will be performing the same FUN, joyful, charitable exercises. These exercises are implemented into our daily lives, which creates permanent change. It requires a commitment, consistency, focus, and attention. It's all about having so much fun in the process of spreading joy and love and the creation of happiness that the "good deed" inspires others. Love is contagious! Giving to others also leads to more abundance for everyone! These joy exercises will keep people smiling. I challenge you to have as much fun as we are and keep your community smiling!

Smile Across Your Heart Club Monthly Activities

Each month highlights a group activity and individual activity. Choose your own day within each month to meet. You can trade off each month and meet at different members’ homes. You can also pick any organization or charity of your choice for donating your items. Choose a variety of different types of groups: spread your love!

JANUARY: Happy New Year’s Creative Gift Basket Month
Group activity: Come together as a group bringing a couple of small holiday presents you received. Create a few beautiful gift baskets with these items and bring them to a local nursing home. Choose random rooms to deliver these baskets to. Smile, and have fun gifting these New Year’s baskets to anonymous people.

Individual activity: Throughout the day, hold the door open for people at the grocery store, bank, library, the mall—wherever—and smile.

FEBRUARY: Fun, Inspirational Card month
Group activity: Come together as a group to make creative, funny, joyful, inspirational notes or cards and take them to a nursing home and have fun passing them out to residents of the home with a smile, and of course wearing your Smile Across Your Heart shirt.

Individual activity: Cook a nice homemade meal and take it to a friend or neighbor.

MARCH: Soup Kitchen month
Group activity: SAYHeart club volunteers as a group in a local soup kitchen.

Individual activity: Offer to baby-sit a family member or friend’s children.

APRIL: Fast Food Restaurant month
Group activity: Divide up in groups of cars and drive through selected local fast food drive-through restaurants and pay for the food orders of the cars behind you. Try Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, etc.

Individual activity: Place quarters in expired parking meters. If you don’t have parking meters in your area, offer your assistance or companionship to an elderly neighbor, relative, or friend.

MAY: Flower month
Group activity: Each group member purchases one flower (or picks a flower from their own garden) to create one large bouquet. Wrap a ribbon around the bouquet with a Smile Across Your Heart Club note attached. Donate your beautiful bouquet to your favorite receptionist at a doctor’s office.

Individual activity: Return other people’s grocery carts at your nearby supermarket.

JUNE: Yummy Lemonade month
Group activity: Organize and set up “Free Lemonade” stands in supermarket parking lots and give away cups of a variety of refreshing lemonades—be creative! Make sure everything is sanitary and clean up after you’re done.

Individual activity: Pay for the car behind you at a tollbooth. If you live in a place where you don’t have tollbooths, then offer to drive a friend, family member, or coworker to the airport next time they’re flying.

JULY: FUN Costume Jewelry/Accessory month
Group activity: Each group member brings one piece of costume jewelry or clothing accessory from his or her own closet. Donate the items to a local homeless shelter or women’s crisis center, or any organization of your choice.

Individual activity: Give someone you know a plant or plant flowers in their garden.

AUGUST: Cool Water Bottle Stands
Group activity: Each member of the group brings a six-pack of new water bottles. Have fun decorating the outside of the bottles with a label that reads, “With Love & Joy, from Smile Across Your Heart Club members.” Choose a crowded place where there’s a lot of outdoor exercise or activities and set up your water stands. Hand the bottles of water to people as they pass by. And don’t forget to smile and wear your Smile Across Your Heart shirts.

Individual activity: Greet everyone you meet with a smile and spend an extra minute, asking each person how their day is going—showing you care—for example, a receptionist, salesperson, family member, friend, people on the phone, etc.

SEPTEMBER: Healthy Baked Goods month
Group activity: Meet as a group and bake healthy cookies or muffins or other treats and take them to a nursing home, homeless shelter, fire station, day-care center, or any place where your goodies will bring a smile across someone’s heart.

Individual activity: Offer a skill or some expertise to someone for free.

OCTOBER: Magazine and Book month
Group activity: Gather up used magazines and books that are still in good shape and, as a group, have fun swapping inspiring articles and stories and then give the remaining books and magazines to a homeless shelter, women’s crisis center, or any organization of your choice.

Individual activity: Offer to teach someone how to cook a healthy meal.

NOVEMBER: Holiday Gift Pottery month
Group activity: The group goes to a pottery place—a Play and Clay–type place, for example—and each member purchases a small piece of pottery, has a ball painting it, and then the group donates the pottery to a nursing home, shelter, hospital, soup kitchen, crisis center, or school. Recipients can either use the pottery themselves or give it away as holiday gifts to loved ones.

Individual activity: Invite someone into your home for Thanksgiving who is away from his or her family or is alone for the holiday.

DECEMBER: Fun Children’s Toy Gift Wrapping month
Group activity: Ask your child or grandchild to choose one of their holiday gifts they would like to give away to a child in need. Come together as a group with your children or grandchildren and their gifts and have a fun gift-wrapping party. The kids do the wrapping! Group members and their children or grandchildren donate the gifts to a children’s charity of your choosing.

Individual activity: Pamper yourself; indulge yourself with a spa treatment!

Smile Across Your Heart Club Guidelines:
  1. Select people in your community-friends and family members who have the time, commitment, and desire to join a club chapter. The number of members should be manageable so when you're meeting in your homes it's comfortable for everyone.
  2. During each monthly meeting, set a group intention by aligning your hearts -"The group intention is to have fun doing charitable deeds to help spread more joy and love in the community. These deeds are for the highest good for everyone involved." Surround yourself and all those involved with the highest vibration of love.
  3. All club activities should be in congruence with the law.
  4. These activities are performed with pure love and joy and nonattachment to the outcome. Therefore, even if you don't receive appreciation or any verbal feedback from recipients, it won't take away from the activity performed or your joy in giving.
  5. At each monthly meeting and group outing, have FUN! All club members can wear an original Smile Across Your Heart shirt purchased through this website.
  6. All giveaway items must be healthy, clean, sanitary, and have some sort of Smile Across Your Heart Club label or marking.
  7. Contact your local chamber of commerce and get a listing of your local charities, organizations, foundations, shelters, and crisis centers. Contact the ones of your choice and introduce the Smile Across Your Heart Club to them, informing them that you may be donating items and time to their organization in a particular month. Let them know what month to expect you and establish a date.
